Fettuccini Alfredo
Ingredients
- 1 lb fettuccini pasta
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cups Half and Half
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Cook fettuccini according to package directions.
2
Meanwhile, add butter and Half and Half to a large pot over medium-high heat.
3
Add all seasonings and stir together until combined.
4
Whisk together cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
5
Stir Alfredo frequently as it heats and bring it to a boil. Add cornstarch mixture as soon as it boils.
6
Simmer the Alfredo over medium heat while stirring until sauce thickens. (Don't let it over thicken or the texture might be a little paste-like, keep it nice and smooth.)
7
Remove from heat and add parmesan. Stir until melted and smooth. Add cooked fettuccini and serve immediately.
