Hi! I’m Valerie, and this is my story.
Not long after I got married in 2007, my new sister-in-law invited me to her recipe club with her friends. They had a blog where they would share all of the recipes that they made for each month’s get-together. I immediately fell in love with sharing recipes through a blog and decided to create one of my own.
After 8 years of working on a couple of different recipe blogs, I decided to take one of my favorite recipes that I created, Chicken Pot Pie, and actually start making it as a product and selling it out of my home. I created an Instagram page, took some pictures, and started selling pies out of my house. I had friends, family, and complete strangers coming to my house to buy dinner, dessert, and baby pies.
After a few months, I had more business than I could handle out of my home, so my husband and I decided to turn this into a real business, and Crust Club was born!
Starting Crust Club has been the hardest, most amazing thing I have ever done. It has pushed, pulled, and stretched me in so many ways that I will never be the same. I have learned and grown more than I ever thought I would.
As fulfilling as Crust Club has been, one thing I have greatly missed is creating and sharing recipes. This blog is a place where I can share all of those recipes that my family and I love that won’t be made into Crust Club products.
Whether it’s through Crust Club products or these recipes, my ultimate goal is to feed my family, and hopefully yours too!
